Three artists meeting by chance discovered a common passion to share their enthusiasm and skills with each other. They decided to form a collaborative partnership – Blue Sky Artists – to work together creatively. Each meeting is a painters’ melting-pot, each taking it in turns to lead hands-on painting sessions to encourage the exploration of new techniques. They challenge each other, and bounce ideas around, bringing their personal outlook and favourite subjects to the studio to examine the boundary between style and technique. Each member takes turns to share a skill or working practice, and this is applied by each artist to their usual subject matter, in their particular style. The resulting works, seen as a set, show the amazing range of work that can be produced in this way, and demonstrate that style is as recognisable as handwriting, no matter what the tools.

Their experience includes teaching adults and children, running workshops and demonstrating to art groups. They all participate in the Surrey Artists Open Studios event and exhibit widely in the UK.
