After
many years of travelling and working abroad in Oman, Rosie
settled back in England and was able to pursue a long standing
interest in art and attended Reigate School of Art and Design,
where she then taught for several years.
She enjoys experimenting with a variety of materials
and working methods and 6 years ago started manipulating
aluminium by heating and distorting the surface. This
had to stop due to a lack of facilities but led to developing
ways of using ink on flat aluminium sheets. Rosie is exhibiting
a few of these original works in the Harvey Gallery exhibition.
As
well as taking part in Surrey Artists Open Studios and
being a member of Strata art group, Rosie has exhibited
widely in the South East including the Cranleigh Arts
Centre, The Fire & Iron Gallery, Leatherhead, Rhythm
& Cultures Festival, Surrey County Show and The Red
Biddy Gallery, Shalford.
